sapphic salon

an intentional space of sensuality & soul
for femmes & thems - held monthly in london

sapphic salon -

sapphic salon -

not a womens circle,
not a queer social mixer event...
but a secret third thing that will
emerge and evolve as we do

Sunday 7th June

Dalston, London

Sapphic Salon is a monthly gathering for those drawn to depth, sovereignty, and conscious connection.
it is an intentional temple space specifically for women and non-binary AFAB people.

❋ Honest Hearts, Human First

We gather as humans before anything else; tender, curious, multidimensional, and maybe a lil (or a lot) messy. This is a space to soften the armour, to feel what is true in the moment, and where you can meet one another in the deep places that may not be available in your every day.

❋ Devotion and Consent

The space is gently facilitated and deeply held, with all exercises offered as an invitation, not an expectation. Choice, boundaries, and self-responsibility are woven into the fabric of every interaction, and you will always be guided to attune first and foremost to your own inner wisdom.

❋ Creative Intimacy

Inspired by the lineage of Sappho - prolific poet and OG lesbian - we honour eros as creative, relational, and soulful; expressed through conversation, beauty, subtle intimacy, and play. Bring your poetry, your art, your songs…your sweet, yearning, sapphic heart.

❋ Salon as Sanctuary

This is not performance or spectacle, but a curated, intimate atmosphere; where connection can unfold slowly, where longing can breathe, where there is essentially nothing for you to DO, other than just be you, exactly as you are.

  • sapphic salon is a heart-led temple space devoted to embodied presence, relational sovereignty, and the capacity to feel, and be felt

who is this event for?

Sapphic Salon is for you if…

  • You feel a quiet (or not so quiet) pull toward women and want a space where your curiosity can breathe without pressure or performance

  • You’ve loved women for years but are craving depth beyond dating apps, bars, or fast intimacy

  • You’re fresh exploring your sexuality and want something slower, more intentional, and held

  • You’re seasoned in queer spaces but long for something devotional

  • You’re sensitive to energy and desire environments that feel attuned rather than chaotic

  • You’ve done personal growth work and want to explore eros as part of your spiritual and creative life

  • You’re a neo-tantric temple regular and feel tired of the hyper-performative masc/fem polarity teachings and want an environment where expression is fluid and organic

  • You want intimacy that isn’t immediately sexualised, but also isn’t desexualised or repressed

  • You’re in a relationship (monogamous or not) and want conscious sapphic community that respects boundaries

  • You’ve felt out of place in mainstream queer culture but know there is something ancient and vast in you that wants expression and embodiment

  • You want to feel desired in a way that honours your humanity, not just your body

sapphic salon is a space that welcomes all flavours, ages,
& expressions of ‘woman’:
for women (cis & trans) and non-binary people with a relationship to pussy/yoni energy - whether physical, energetic, or both -
coming together to explore attraction, intimacy, and
embodiment in sapphic space.
Humans of all ages, race, and experience level are invited and welcome.

Sapphic Salon

what to expect

Each month will have a centralising theme, so the exact structure and experiences will vary from month to month. However, they will all typically involve some or all of the following practices…

what this
event is not

Sapphic Salon is an intentional, held space for women (cis & trans) and AFAB NB humans to explore and cultivate a deeper intimacy with themselves and with life.

To protect its atmosphere and soul-centred vibe, let’s be clear - this is NOT:

  • A sex party or play party

  • A dating mixer

  • A ‘womens circle’

  • A space for political debate or ideological discourse

  • Group therapy

  • A performance space or class

but then what
is it?

Even though this space is technically none of the above, it can absolutely include many elements
from all of the above at the same time.

Sapphic Salons are a space to explore the fullness of being human; to lean into your edges of expression, of desire, of vulnerability, of feeling…of being YOU.

The main difference is that, unlike the other spaces above that have a clear goal/outcome (ie. healing, dating, etc), a temple space is one that orients around what is alive in this moment now…and how do you meet it?

You can absolutely bring your desires, your intentions, your questions…but here, you are invited to let go of any expectations as to how they will be met, and be curious as to how the mystery wants to share them with you.

Meet your host

Brighid (She/Her) is a proclaimed lesbian living currently in London, but originally from Melbourne, Australia.

Her sexuality journey has traversed many realms, having always somewhat identified as bi/queer during her twenties, but only really claiming her full sapphic nature in her early thirties.

She has spent the last decade deep in the world of tantra and temple culture, pouring her heart into ritual and soul initiation. She found that whilst (some of) these spaces are very welcoming and explorative of the multifaceted nature of sexuality and eros, there’s an element of the queer heart that feels amiss and unseen.

She hopes to hold a space that encompasses the depth and soul enquiry that is available in these mystery school spaces, yet also includes the raw humanity and tender enquiry that comes with living as a queer person in this world that is still learning to embrace the nuanced spectrum of being human.

what is the ‘sapphic’ part about?

Sappho was the OG lesbian - it’s because of her that the word ‘lesbian’ even exists.

She was a lyrical poet who existed around 600/500 BC, and lived on the Greek island of Lesbos (you see?).

There’s not a whole lot of historical info on her, other than she was prolific with her poetry and utterly infatuated with women (there IS more but these are the best bits).

Sapphic’ refers to the VIBE - that mysterious, aching, devotional desire that exists and dances between women/woman-adjacent humans.

It’s creative, it’s erotic, it’s sensual, it’s emotional…it’s multilayered and delicious in a million different ways.

Sapphic Salon is not a temple in devotion to SAPPHO, but to the exquisite love and eros that pulses through the hearts of all sapphic-natured beings (however this presents itself through you).

this is a space where you can gently explore your edges, connect deeply with yourself, be witnessed in your expression/fears/feelings…and just be exactly who you are.
